OWINGS MILLS, MD — September 16, 2026. Healthcare Transactions Group, Inc. (HTG), a boutique sell side M&A advisory firm, today announced that it served as exclusive M&A advisor to Fitzgibbon Health Services in the sale of The Living Center (TLC), a 99-bed skilled nursing facility (SNF) connected to the John Fitzgibbon Memorial Hospital building in Marshall, Missouri.

The transaction closed on September 8, 2026, concluding an approximately six-month Section 363 sale process conducted within the jointly administered Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings of John Fitzgibbon Memorial Hospital, Inc. and Fitzgibbon Health Services in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri. The buyer—initially selected as the stalking-horse bidder for the skilled nursing facility alone—ultimately purchased the Hospital as well, resulting in a single combined transaction. Strawberry Fields REIT (STRW) acquired the assets.

HTG advised on the SNF transaction from initial engagement and buyer origination through closing. The final purchase price exceeded the original stalking horse bid by approximately $2.3 million.

“Hospital and SNF transactions present a distinct set of challenges—shared physical plant and infrastructure, and operational continuity that all must be solved together,” said Mark Davis, HTG’s President. “This transaction is a prime example of the complex, interconnected hospital‑SNF sales HTG has experience with, further complicated by the bankruptcy process, and we’re pleased that our SNF buyer ultimately acquired the Hospital as well.”
