Mark Davis, Principal and founder Mark Davis is Founder and President of Healthcare Transactions Group which initiates, structures and facilitates mergers & acquisitions and provides related advisory services for a broad range of middle-market health services companies and providers, and is regularly engaged by public healthcare companies for sale of non-strategic or unprofitable assets to regional or independent providers.  Mark has twenty-five years of mergers and acquisitions, business development and strategic/health planning experience in the health care industry.  He is a member of key industry associations and regularly a speaker at industry conferences. His professional experience prior to founding Healthcare Transactions Group, and his educational and other credentials are listed below.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Senior Vice President of Acquisitions, Integrated Health Services, Inc., a NYSE Company.

Supervised Acquisitions and Mergers for an IHS development and acquisitions spin-off. Closed purchase and lease deals, hospital joint ventures and management contracts.

Vice President of Development, Integrated Health Services, Inc., a NYSE Company.

Responsible for leading mergers and acquisitions for a national NYSE public long-term care and post-acute provider.   Helped IHS reach a billion dollars in revenues by initiating and closing over a half billion dollars worth of fee-simple and leasehold acquisitions of numerous long-term care companies and facilities, including 1994's largest private long-term care deal in U.S. and the multi-facility deal that gave IHS the critical mass to go public.

Founder & Executive Vice-President of a nursing home development firm.

Raised venture capital to set up business to build nursing homes to lease to creditworthy operators. Secured regulatory approvals, selected sites, arranged financing and negotiated leases with operators. Successfully sold company.

Acquisitions, Strategic Planning and Management Consultant to health care organizations.

National Director of Health Planning, Beverly Enterprises, a NYSE company and U.S.'s largest nursing home company.   Responsible for leading new nursing home development projects and overseeing related Certificate of Need activity in all states

Progressive Health Planning and Regulatory Experience for federally-sponsored regional health planning and Certificate of Need agencies (Health Systems Agencies) in New York and New Jersey.
