Healthcare Transactions Group Arranges Sale of Washington, D.C. Post-Acute Continuum

Healthcare Transactions Group is pleased to announce that it arranged the sale of the assets of VMT Long-Term Care Management, Inc., a for-profit continuum of post-acute services in Washington D.C., including the leasehold operations of Unique Residential Care Center, a 230-bed licensed Skilled Nursing Facility, VMT Home Health Agency, a Medicare- and Medicaid-certified licensed home health agency, and VMT Education Center, a nursing school, primarily training certified nursing assistants and home health aides.  The transaction closed on July 10, 2018.   The transaction did not include sale of the real estate, which will continue to be leased from the District of Columbia Government.   The annual revenue for the business is about $25 million. Census for the skilled nursing facility was 98%.

Healthcare Transactions Group initiated the transaction and served as Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor for the Seller.  Terms and other details of the transaction were not disclosed.  The buyer was a Brooklyn, NY-based multistate operator of post-acute facilities and services, and is also an owner of skilled nursing facilities in Washington, DC.
