Healthcare Transactions Group was founded in January 1996 by Mark Davis, former Senior Vice President and Vice President of Development for Integrated Health Services (IHS), a NYSE provider of post-acute services.  From 1989-1996 Mark Davis directed IHS's Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) activities, initiating and completing acquisitions that increased IHS's revenue to $1.1 billion from $25 million.

Before IHS, Mark Davis had 13 years of progressive health care industry experience in regional health and corporate planning and in business development in the public and private sectors, including founding a healthcare development company and serving as National Director of Health Planning, Beverly Enterprises.

Mark Davis was a member of the Owner/Operator Advisory Committee to the National Investment Center for Senior Housing & Care Industries and is also a member of its Website Task Force and a member of the ICF/MR Committee of the American Health Care Association.  Healthcare Transactions Group has been a Charter Associate Business Member of the American Health Care Association.
